Google Owns All! No Really!

Just the other day, Corey brought us Google’s new internet browser that is considerably faster than anything out there. There is just one caveat… they get full ownership of everything you make, write, download while on Chrome. And that was just within the first day or two. Since then a couple of [...]

Google’s “Chrome” Is Something To Get Excited About

The office e-mail this morning was electric with talk of Google’s latest creation - an Internet browser. Dubbed Chrome, its announcement came along with a really spiffy, 38-page comic illustrated by the always talented Scott McCloud. Made with TLC from scratch, this browser is open source, making everything that’s wonderful about it available [...]

Its Official! Comcast sets monthly broadband cap at 250GB/month!

Call Geek Squad? FireDog? Try AT&T’s ConnecTech?!

Apparently, AT&T has a new home theater tech support center: ConnecTech. Just like Best Buy’s Geek Squad and Circuit City’s FireDog, AT&T will have ConnecTech. CrunchGear has the price breakdown for the available services AT&T has to offer… which is basically the same as BestBuy and CircuitCity. But how well can [...]

Google Wants Whitespace To Be Your Space

For those who remember the days of tuning their television, whitespace refers to the frequencies that weren’t used between channels. That whitespace is still out there today, floating about without a purpose. But for a while now, industry giants like Microsoft and Dell have been lobbying Congress to free up the airwaves for [...]

Olympic games may mean trouble for comcast subscribers

Gizmodo explains the recent disadvantage of having Comcast or Time Warner as your internet service provider. What does that mean for [...]

Living the Cuil Life

As Corey had posted earlier in the week, Cuil (pronounced “cool”) is the new search engine that will ultimately try to compete with Google, especially when the company is made up of ex-Google and IBM employees. Who doesn’t want to try and get their 5 minutes of fame competing with the enormous search giant? [...]

Too Cuil For School And Anyone Who Wants Relevant Searches

There was a great deal of hype building for the new search engine Cuil (pronounced “cool”), which launch on Monday this week.  Unfortunately for Cuil, this hype built up into a PR nightmare that we find happening all too often these days.  At 3PM on Monday, Cuil’s servers crashed.  The site functioned sporatically as it [...]

Weekend Recap - July 28th 2008

Weekend recap but first some quick TNMS updates.
We won’t be publishing the grand opening of the Boston Apple Store video as it is way too big of a file (to edit as well) so instead, I will take screen shots of the store and post additional pictures. But we will have another “How to…” [...]

Wii Like It, But It’s Still Comcast

The Consumerist has alerted us to a new promotional offer from Comcast. New subscribers who sign up between July 28th and August 17th will receive a frickin’ Nintendo Wii. I really wish that I liked Comcast, because this is a pretty sweet incentive. Unfortunately, they’ve given me more than enough cause to [...]
