Finally “I have 64GB In my pocket for you” will no longer just be a dirty euphemism.

Personally, I’m kind of in a shock. I remember back in 1996 talking on the phone with one of my best friends, telling each other what we’d do if our computers had 1 Gigabyte of space (yes, I was a complete and utter dork - not much has changed). At the time, my hard drive topped out at 64 megabytes… now 12 years later, you can carry 1000 times that around you neck (and even drop it 5 feet without a care in the world).

Corsair has just released a 64GB Flash Voyager for a staggering $199 dollars. Currently the prices of flash drives, thanks to Solid State Drivers, are lowering by day.. heck I just got a Corsair 16GB Flash Voyager for $25 after rebate from good old Newegg (which you can get to to the right over there -> click click!) this week. It was only about 2 years ago this 16GB drive came out, at that time for around $299.

If there was ever a time to look into a Flash drive for yourself, your spouse, or your kids, this might be a great christmas. Expect to see the prices fall even farther with this release!
