A Milestone and a Macbook

Today marks a milestone here at technewsmadesimple.com. This is the 100th post we’ve made to this site. We’ve come a long way since the infancy of TNMS – no longer are we just a spot for Kurt to post his hopes and dreams for a new home office; now we actually report on tech news, and sometimes we even break it first! Today will be no different…
Since I have been designated the in-house Mac fanboy (thanks guys…), the duty falls upon me to report the newest rumors of a whole new line of Macbook products. Gizmodo has apparently gotten their hands on inside information about the Macbook tablet system, something that we first heard about back in late July.
Keep in mind, these are still nothing more than a lot of unconfirmed rumors. But where there’s smoke there’s fire, and it seems like there’s a lot of smoke following this story around the Instawebs.
According to another Gizmodo article, Apple has been telling their retailers to stock up on the current models of Macbooks (iPods too, but Kurt covered the new iPod rollout a couple days ago) in what seems like preparation for a whole new product line.
So, what’s it all mean for you the consumer? Well, Apple has been rumored to finally understand the American economy system – lower prices, sell more items. So these new Macbook tablet systems are supposedly going to be introduced at much lower initial prices than their predecessors. More importantly, if you’re just looking to get your first Mac laptop (or perhaps upgrade from that old system you’ve been working on), you might be able to grab the current Macbook models at a far reduced price once the Macbook tablets go on sale and every Mac geek from here to Silicon Valley lines up for days to get their hands on one.
Yes, that includes me.
