Newest Blackberry looks Flippin’ awesome
So we all know a little bit about the Blackberry Bold and Thunder, but the the hottest information in RIM-land is their first EVER flip phone, the 8200 series code-named the KickStart. And by the look of it, I’d say they have been making them for years.
As Engadget just reported, the guys over at Crackberry just released an 8+ minute hands-on video with brand the new flippie. The plan is to put this phone in the $50 with subscription pricetag. This means more and more teenagers might become Crackberry addicts. Since the iPhone is so flippin’ expensive (har har I know), it is completely possible for this to really hit the market hard.
The phone adapts the new 4.6 OS that was seen on the Bold, WiFi capability (8220), GPS capability (8210), A much-improved web browser, and a sweet Outer screen that you can use to check messages without opening it, amongst other things. I really don’t want to reveal much more, even though I said a lot of the good things you can find in the video. :)
Oh, and veteran Blackberry users might dislike the recessed scroll button, but hey.. you want a decent flip phone, you gotta make some modifications, right? Other than it being a bit larger than the Rzr, Krzr, Phzr, Lzr, Wzr… now I’m just making stuff up… I see some Flip phone Ass-kick’in on the horizon for the KickStart.
