Wii Like It, But It’s Still Comcast

The Consumerist has alerted us to a new promotional offer from Comcast. New subscribers who sign up between July 28th and August 17th will receive a frickin’ Nintendo Wii. I really wish that I liked Comcast, because this is a pretty sweet incentive. Unfortunately, they’ve given me more than enough cause to dislike them. And I have to say, I’m more than a little curious how Comcast expects to make the Wii promotional worthwhile when their routers don’t support it.

This offer is good for Miami, San Francisco, Houston, Denver, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and Detroit. Word is that other cities will see this promotion as well, so ask around! If Comcast has a stranglehold on your area’s broadband options, then now is as good a time to surrender as any. Supplies of the Wii will be limited, so be sure to act fast. And mention the promotion when you sign up to see if your Wii is a sure thing.
