No iPhone news (I didn’t get one) but let’s talk more about the BlackBerry Thunder

No, I didn’t bow down to the Apple/AT&T gods and get a 3G iPhone. To me, it really wasn’t of a need or want. I already have a BlackBerry Pearl and its small profile and Enterprise support through my employer makes it the prime candidate for a cell phone. But will I ever get an iPhone? If and when my company ever supports Apple as a secure Enterprise device, then maybe. But for now, I’ll stay with my Pearl. If you want more news and info on the iPhone release, check out our Sources page and I’m sure each one of them has some information about the phone, apps, and juicy gossip.

Now, how about that BlackBerry Thunder… as Andy had reported earlier this could be the potential iPhone killer… if it can fit everything that the iPhone has and more (the 3G iPhone isn’t perfect, but i could have been). One of the biggest changes that BlackBerry has made is the touchscreen keyboard. As with the iPhone, if you rotate the phone to a landscape position (on its side), the screen will adjust to fit the new resolution. The same will happen with the Thunder, only the keyboard will become bigger, unlike the iPhone. And the keyboard will offer tactile feel, so you are sure you have pressed button.

But is this keyboard better than the current iPhone? Rumors have circulated that yes, it is indeed an awesome keyboard. However, there have been other rumors that report the keyboard being completely awful. What is certain are some of the media player screenshots that can be found via CrunchGear.

Let’s hope BlackBerry and RIM get their acts together to produce an awesome phone that will be widely accepted in the very large corporations.
