Apple WWDC 2008 - Day 1

Biggest news of the day… and probably month… 3G iPhone starts at $200 for the 8GB model and just $300 for the 16GB model (your choice of black or white). What does that mean for you the consumer? How about GPS, faster internet speeds (3G), and dozens of new programs for Enterprise (or corporate businesses) and personal use. Not only that, you’ll save 50% on this new model starting July 11th.

But some bad news for those who wanted to get a deal from the new prices. Giz reports that you need to buy these new iPhones at an AT&T or Apple Store directly. And you will need to activate in store as well which means more time away from setting it up. In addition, you must activate your gorgeous new phone within 30 days or face a fine! And 1 final tidbit, you need to sign a 2 year contract in order to take advantage of the new iPhones. You can read AT&T’s press release here.
