How to build a PC - the parts, the price and the performance (and how to do it of course)

The parts listed on the previous page were mainly higher end components to a computer. A standard household computer should only require a dual-core processor, 2GB RAM, 256MB video card, 320GB hard drive, and DVD-Burner. But because I am editing video, pictures and playing lots of games, I require a system with some more power. But the reason you are reading this is to learn how to build a computer.

As you have probably seen the video, I will elaborate in some detail on how to put the parts together. I will start with the motherboard chassis (motherboard, CPU, CPU cooler, RAM) and move it into the case, followed by the video card, DVD-burner (installed prior to filming), hard drive and finally closing the case.

Hit the next page to begin assembly of the motherboard.
