The Insides of a Computer - What everything means


Input/Output Ports:

Input/Output ports

A: Keyboard input: Mouse inputs are usually look the same but are green. You might not need this port if your keyboard is of a USB (universal serial bus) type
B: USB port: high data transfer port
C: Coaxial sound output for surround sound for a receiver
D: Optical sound output for surround sound for a receiver
E: RJ-45 or Ethernet port(s)
F: 1339a or Firewire port
G: eSATA or external SATA port where you can connect an external portable hard drive
H: Surround sound output to computer speakers
I: Wireless antenna connectors
